Police

The Goodland Police Department consists of One Chief of Police, Three Sergeants; Five Patrol Officers and One Records Clerk. Functions of the Goodland Police Department are to enforce the city ordinances for the City of Goodland, and the state statutes of the State of Kansas. The department patrols the streets of the City to protect life, property, the peace and welfare of the citizens of Goodland. The department investigates crimes that occur in the City of Goodland and to investigate traffic accidents. Other obligations of the Goodland Police Department are to provide assistance to the citizens in need, respond to emergencies and help educate the public by answering questions concerning laws and illegal activities. The department is involved with the community throughout the year by informing residents about crime prevention, drug prevention, bicycle safety, and I-DENTA KID programs as well as other programs that may arise.
